Connect with Me
I grew up in a small, rural community in North Dakota and recognize how easy it is to keep our mental health struggles silent and put our head down and absorb ourselves in our passions which may lead to disconnection from family and friends, substance use, and even isolation. It is so easy to turn away from individuals that we love as we fear that they will not truly understand our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs. It is easier to stay silent and drown ourselves in work to the point of burnout and exhaustion. As somebody who puts 110% into my passions and dreams and struggles with work life balance, I know these feelings all too well. I decided to go into the mental health field to walk with individuals on their own mental health journey as I realized the importance of expressing my own struggles to a non-judgmental, safe, and empathetic individual. My hope is that you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we walk together to reach your therapeutic goals.
I graduated from Mayville State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I recently graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Counseling. I am currently a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in North Dakota. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds experiencing difficult life transitions, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am also passionate about working with individuals struggling with grief and loss, specifically ambiguous loss.
Outside of my professional life, you can find me hanging out at home reading a good book, hanging out in the kitchen cooking and baking, going to watch the Minnesota Twins with my partner, and living an active lifestyle. I also love gardening and canning goods from my garden throughout the summer months with my family.
