Connect with Me
I grew up in a small, rural community in North Dakota and recognize how easy it is to keep our mental health struggles silent or turn to substances to decrease unwanted thoughts. I have loved ones that continue to struggle with this, and I understand the impact this has not only on the individuals around them, but also on the individual. I decided to go into the mental health field to walk with individuals on their own mental health journey as I realized the importance of expressing my own struggles to a non-judgmental, safe, and empathetic individual. My hope is that you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we walk together to reach your therapeutic goals.
I graduated from Mayville State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I recently graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Counseling. I am currently a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in North Dakota. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds with anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, family conflict, and adjustment to life transitions.
I am especially passionate about providing services to individuals who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease and navigating through the journey of
ambiguous loss. I serve from a person-centered, relational-cultural, strength and family-based approach.
Outside of my professional life, you can find me hanging out at home reading a good
book, going to watch the Minnesota Twins with my partner, and living an active lifestyle. I also love gardening and canning goods from my garden throughout the summer months with my family.
